In a bold and unexpected move, two of the most iconic bands of the last half-century—Blondie and Fleetwood Mac—have announced a groundbreaking collaboration: a brand-new joint album titled Echoes on the Water, set for release on October 31, 2025.
This union of New York punk royalty and California rock mysticism has already stirred excitement across generations of fans. The announcement was made via a cryptic teaser image posted simultaneously on both bands’ social media accounts: Debbie Harry and Stevie Nicks standing back-to-back beneath a twilight sky, their reflections rippling in the water below. The caption simply read, “Two legacies. One voice. This Halloween.”
The album—rumored to contain 11 tracks—will blend Blondie’s signature punk-meets-new-wave energy with Fleetwood Mac’s melodic, emotionally rich rock textures. While specific song titles remain under wraps, sources close to the project describe the sound as “lush, haunting, and surprisingly intimate.”
Stevie Nicks offered a glimpse into the project’s inspiration:
