Netflix Set to Release Documentary Series on Tadej Pogačar: Inside the Life of Cycling’s Young Phenom

Netflix has announced an upcoming documentary series centered on Slovenian cycling sensation Tadej Pogačar, offering fans an unprecedented look into the life, mind, and journey of one of the most dominant riders of the modern era. The multi-part series, titled Pogačar: Born to Ride, is scheduled for release in early 2026 and promises to deliver an in-depth, behind-the-scenes portrait of a young athlete whose impact on professional cycling has been nothing short of extraordinary.

At just 25 years old, Pogačar has already carved out a place among cycling’s elite. A two-time Tour de France champion (2020 and 2021), Olympic medalist, and winner of multiple Monuments, his aggressive style, relentless energy, and tactical brilliance have drawn comparisons to legends of the sport. But until now, fans have seen only glimpses of the man behind the yellow jersey.

Pogačar: Born to Ride aims to change that. The series will explore not just Pogačar’s career milestones, but also his early life in Slovenia, his rise through the junior and U23 ranks, and the personal sacrifices that come with life at the top of professional cycling. Viewers will follow Pogačar through training camps, race days, and quiet moments in between, painting a full picture of what it takes to become a champion in one of the world’s most grueling sports.

The documentary is being produced by the same team behind Netflix’s successful Tour de France: Unchained series and is expected to feature commentary from fellow cyclists, coaches, rivals, and sports analysts. Teammates from UAE Team Emirates will also provide insight into Pogačar’s role within the squad and his magnetic influence both on and off the bike.

In a statement released by Netflix, Pogačar said:

“Cycling is a beautiful and brutal sport. I’m excited to share my journey—the victories, the defeats, and everything in between. I hope it inspires people to chase their own dreams.”

The series will also delve into some of the most dramatic moments of his career, including his thrilling battles with fellow Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard, his remarkable solo attacks in mountain stages, and his continued evolution as a one-day classic and Grand Tour contender.

As anticipation builds for Pogačar: Born to Ride, cycling fans around the world are eager for an intimate look at one of the sport’s brightest stars. The series promises to be more than just a sports documentary—it’s a story of talent, tenacity, and the pursuit of greatness.
