Minnesota Vikings
If the season ended following the Vikings’ loss in Week 12, the draft order for 2024 would be updated.
What is the Minnesota Vikings’ current position in the NFL Draft order after a dismal loss on Monday night?
Following the results of the previous two weeks, Minnesota Vikings supporters may be more interested in the current NFL Draft order for 2024 than they were previously.
Despite losing their last two games, the Vikings’ current position in the first round of the 2024 draft hasn’t shifted much from where they were before their two-game losing streak.
For some Minnesota fans, the team’s present position may not be as high as they would want, especially with a handful of top-tier quarterback prospects predicted in the 2024 selection pool.
Following the Minnesota Vikings’ Week 12 loss, the NFL Draft order has been updated.
After finishing 13-4 last season, the Vikings were selected with the No. 23 pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft earlier this year.
According to Tankathon, Minnesota’s current position in the NFL Draft order would place them top pick in a comparable situation in 2024.
The draft order for 2024 would look like this if the 2023 season ended after all of the games played in Week 12.
1- The Chicago Bears (via the Carolina Panthers (1-10))
2- New England Patriots (2-9) Arizona Cardinals (2-
3- 10) Chicago Bears (4-8)
4- (4-8) Washington Commanders
5- 4-8 New York Giants
6- Buccaneers of Tampa Bay (4-7)
7- (4-7) New York Jets
8- 4-7 Los Angeles Chargers
9- (4-7) Tennessee Titans
10- Los Angeles Raiders (5-7)
11- Los Angeles Rams (5-6) New Orleans Saints (5-
12- 6) Green Bay Packers (5-6)
13- 5-6 Cincinnati Bengals
14- 6-6 Buffalo Bills
15- Arizona Cardinals (6-5) (via Houston Texans)
16- Atlanta Falcons (5-6) Minnesota Vikings (6-6)
17- Indianapolis Colts (6-5) Seattle Seahawks (6-5)
18- 7-4 Pittsburgh Steelers
19- Houston Texans (7-4) vs. Cleveland Browns (7-4)
20- The Miami Dolphins are 8-3.
21- Dallas Cowboys (8-3) Detroit Lions (8-3)
22-Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) Kansas City Chiefs
23-(8-3) San Francisco 49ers (8-3) Baltimore Ravens (9-3)
One of the most current Minnesota Vikings rumors concerns the team’s plans at the quarterback position when they return from their bye week in Week 14.
Surprisingly, the majority of the recent Minnesota Vikings speculations revolve around who the team will choose as their starting quarterback when they return in Week 14 to face the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to The Athletic’s NFL insider Dianna Russini on Saturday, all signs point to Josh Dobbs remaining Minnesota’s starting quarterback against the Raiders.
According to what Russini has heard from throughout the league, the Vikings “will be sticking with Dobbs” when they visit Las Vegas next weekend.
Vikings Rumors: Josh Dobbs will certainly receive at least one more shot
Dobbs was able to make an immediate impact in Minnesota after being acquired just before this year’s trade deadline a few weeks ago, as he helped lead the team to victory in each of his first two games.
However, in the Vikings’ past two games, the veteran quarterback was a turnover monster, resulting in Minnesota losing both games.
Following the team’s most recent loss, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell was compelled to face concerns regarding whether he would make a quarterback change before the team’s next game against the Raiders in Week 14.
O’Connell was forthright in stating that Minnesota would assess all three of their active quarterbacks during the bye week to determine if a move under center was necessary.
So it appears that Dobbs will get at least one more chance to prove his worth as the Vikings’ starting quarterback.
Will he take advantage of this opportunity to rebound from a poor performance against the Chicago Bears in Week 12? Or will Dobbs’ appearance in Minnesota’s starting lineup on Sunday be his last?
