ARSENAL MAY BE OFFERED £27M FOR EVERTON FLOP IN SURPRISE JANUARY SWAP DEAL

Arsenal may be offered the chance to re-sign former Everton flop Moise Kean as part of a deal that may send Gunners sensation Charlie Patino to Serie A giants Juventus.

Michele Fratini, an agency and talent scout based in Italy, believes so.

He informed Rai Sport a few weeks ago that the Arsenal kid was being courted by a who’s who of Serie A powerhouses, including Napoli, AC Milan, and Inter.

But, according to Fratini, Juventus may have an ace up their sleeve as the Bianconeri attempt to beat off competition for a £25 million-rated playmaker who impressed on loan at Swansea City.

Charlie Patino, an Arsenal player, plays for Juventus.

“The two names for Juventus’ midfield are Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips, who is a more physical player, and Arsenal’s Charlie Patino.” He reminds me of Edgar Davids. “He’s physical and good at (stopping) counter-attacks,” Fratini said, comparing the former Leeds midfielder to a Serie A legend.

“Patino is the other. Today, Juventus is a team devoid of quality. And because Juventus has four attackers, they can easily sign Patino, and Kean would be involved in the negotiations.”

Of course, how Arsenal feels about bringing Moise Kean back to England for a second shot at the Premier League remains to be seen. After joining Everton for £27 million in 2019, the Italy international scored only two Premier League goals. Meanwhile, Kean has failed to find the net even once this season.

However, the broad-shouldered center-forward is still only 23 years old. There is surely a player with significant promise among them. After all, Kean previously scored 17 goals during a fantastic loan spell at perennial French winners Paris Saint-Germain.

Gunners are being persuaded to make Ivan Toney move.

However, when it comes to Arsenal legend Paul Merson, there is one striker signing that simply jumps off the page for a Gunners side eager to transition from bridesmaids to brides this season.

“How many teams can function without a center forward?” What may be Arsenal’s demise this season? It will be the lack of a centre-forward,” argues Merson in his Sky Sports piece. “They dominated Aston Villa at the weekend, but they couldn’t score a goal.”

I believe Arsenal will require (Brentford’s Ivan) Toney if they are to succeed this season.
