‘Absolute crap,’ says Roy Keane of Ten Hag and Manchester United players despite Everton’s victory.
Roy Keane, a former Manchester United captain, has attacked manager Erik ten Hag for praising Bruno Fernandes, who gave Marcus Rashford a penalty against Everton.
The referee awarded a penalty for a foul on Anthony Martial with United ahead 1-0 thanks to Alejandro Garnacho’s spectacular shot.
Fernandes, the team’s designated penalty taker, chose to let Rashford take it.
The England forward took the opportunity and converted, increasing the score 2-0.
Following the game, Keane chastised Ten Hag for backing Fernandes’ decision.
“He’s giving toffee out there to Bruno for passing on the ball for the penalty,” he remarked.
Absolute bloody nonsense. That was absolute nonsense to say.”
