In a collaboration few expected but many fans are already hailing as iconic, Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee and shock rock pioneer Marilyn Manson have announced the upcoming release of a joint album titled “Twilight Requiem”, set for release on November 15, 2025.
Described as a “dark symphonic exploration of beauty, rage, and redemption,” the album merges Lee’s ethereal, classically influenced vocals with Manson’s brooding industrial edge. According to a joint statement, Twilight Requiem aims to “expose the fragility of the human condition while embracing its strength.”
This marks the first full-length collaboration between the two artists, though they have expressed mutual admiration for years. Amy Lee, known for her emotionally charged performances and haunting melodies, and Marilyn Manson, infamous for pushing boundaries and challenging societal norms, bring together decades of experience to create a sound that promises to be both cinematic and visceral.
“This album is unlike anything I’ve done before,” said Lee in a recent press release. “Working with Manson challenged me to step outside my comfort zone creatively, and in return, I brought my own sense of vulnerability and intensity to the table. It’s an artistic collision — and a strangely beautiful one.”
Manson added:
“Amy’s voice is like a ghost wrapped in silk. It was the perfect counterpoint to the fire and weight I wanted to bring to these tracks. This isn’t shock value — it’s soul value.”
The album, produced by Grammy-winning producer Trent Reznor, will feature ten original tracks, including titles like “Glass Saints,” “The Hollow Choir,” and “Ashes of Eden.” Early leaks from studio insiders suggest that the record combines orchestral arrangements with gritty guitar riffs, atmospheric synths, and deeply introspective lyrics. A lead single, “Hearts of Ruin”, is set to drop in mid-September, with a cinematic music video already in post-production.
The announcement has sent waves through the rock and alternative music communities, igniting social media with fan theories, artwork, and calls for a joint tour.
While both artists have faced their share of controversy and personal challenges over the years, Twilight Requiem appears to represent a creative renaissance. Rather than retreat from the darker corners of their respective pasts, Lee and Manson seem ready to illuminate them with raw honesty and sonic grandeur.
With Twilight Requiem, two of rock’s most enigmatic figures are inviting listeners into a world where darkness doesn’t consume — it transforms.
