Veteran blues-rock guitarist and singer Walter Trout has officially announced an expansive world tour set to kick off in late 2025. The tour, titled “Still Burning Bright,” will celebrate Trout’s enduring career, new music, and his unwavering passion for live performance. For fans of blues and roots rock, this is an event not to be missed.
Now in his 70s and still performing with the energy of a man half his age, Trout is proving once again why he’s considered one of the most electrifying bluesmen of his generation. Known for his fiery guitar solos, deeply emotional lyrics, and gritty, soulful voice, Trout has built a career spanning over five decades and more than 30 albums. His live shows have become legendary for their intensity, intimacy, and raw authenticity.
The Still Burning Bright Tour will begin in the U.S. this fall, with initial dates in cities like Nashville, Austin, Chicago, and Los Angeles before heading across the Atlantic for an extensive run in Europe in early 2026. Countries confirmed on the European leg include the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands, France, and Scandinavia, where Trout enjoys a loyal fanbase.
In a press release, Trout shared his excitement about getting back on the road:
“There’s nothing like being out there, connecting with people through music. I’ve faced a lot of challenges in my life, but when I step on that stage, everything makes sense. This tour is a celebration of survival, of music, and of the fans who’ve stuck with me through it all.”
Trout is expected to perform a mix of classics from his extensive catalog—such as “Say Goodbye to the Blues,” “Wanna Dance,” and “Almost Gone”—alongside material from his forthcoming album, which he says will reflect “a lifetime of playing, learning, and living.” The new album is currently in the final stages of production and will be released just ahead of the tour.
A survivor of a near-fatal liver disease and transplant in 2014, Walter Trout’s story is one of resilience, redemption, and relentless creativity. His most recent releases have garnered critical acclaim for their emotional depth and stunning musicianship, solidifying his place as one of the most respected figures in modern blues.
Tickets for the Still Burning Bright Tour will go on sale later this month, with VIP packages and meet-and-greet opportunities available in select cities. Fans are encouraged to act quickly—many of Trout’s previous tours have sold out within days.
For blues enthusiasts and guitar lovers, this tour is more than a concert series—it’s a journey into the heart and soul of a true blues survivor.
