The 25-year-old has just suffered his first-ever domestic defeat as part of the Celtic matchday squad. Up until the Hearts game, Carter-Vickers was undefeated in any domestic SPFL fixture he started.
Brendan Rodgers stated at full-time that Callum McGregor was outstanding against Hearts and CCV has admitted that he and the other players need to do more to support him.
Carter-Vickers said [Football Scotland], “There are a few boys in there who feel the way I do. It’s no use having just CalMac.

The Celtic captain is certainly feeling the disappointment of Saturday’s defeat. He described it as one of the ‘hardest days‘ of his Hoops career.
McGregor’s effort and determination to do well for Celtic is never in question and the fans will be hoping that Carter-Vickers’ words will be heeded within the dressing room.
