Exodus and Ghost Announce Groundbreaking Collaborative Album — “Unholy Convergence”

In a thunderous announcement that’s sending shockwaves through the metal world, legendary Bay Area thrash titans Exodus and Swedish occult rockers Ghost have revealed their joint studio album, titled “Unholy Convergence”. This first-of-its-kind collaboration promises to blend Exodus’s brutal thrash legacy with Ghost’s eerie theatricality—delivering a record that bridges old-school aggression with gothic grandeur.

Set for release in October 2025, Unholy Convergence features 10 tracks that fuse the sonic identities of both bands into a powerful, dark, and genre-defying metal experience. The album is produced by Grammy-winning producer Andy Sneap, with additional creative direction from Tobias Forge of Ghost and Gary Holt of Exodus.

“We didn’t want to just do a feature or one-off single,” said Ghost frontman Papa Emeritus IV. “This is a true merger of our sounds, philosophies, and visions. Unholy Convergence is ritualistic and relentless—a battle cry for the end times.”

Exodus guitarist Gary Holt added, “It’s heavy as hell but also layered in ways we’ve never explored. Ghost brought in choirs, organs, and atmosphere. We brought in speed, fury, and riffs. Together, it’s something totally new.”

🔥 Tracklist – Unholy Convergence

  1. Divine Desecration – An explosive opener with dual vocals, setting the tone for chaos and mysticism.
  2. Hammer of the Heretic – A thrash-driven anthem calling for rebellion against corrupted faith.
  3. Veil of the Prophet – Melodic, haunting, with choral arrangements and cryptic lyrics.
  4. Sanctified in Sin – Features blistering solos and dramatic pipe organ segments.
  5. Plaguebearers of the Light – A mid-tempo epic with eerie synths and violent lyrics.
  6. Thorns Upon the Throne – Ghost’s signature mood collides with Exodus’s crushing riffs.
  7. Ashes of the Covenant – A slower, doom-influenced track featuring a Gregorian chant intro.
  8. Wolves of Armageddon – Fast, raw, and savage—a classic Exodus-style moshpit starter.
  9. Blood Psalms – A theatrical blend of Ghost’s cinematic style with thrash fury.
  10. Unholy Convergence – The climactic 8-minute title track that unites both bands in full force.

Each song features alternating vocals from Steve “Zetro” Souza and Papa Emeritus IV, with some moments of spine-chilling harmonies between the two. Guitars from Holt and Ghost’s Nameless Ghouls interplay throughout, backed by thunderous percussion from both rhythm sections.

🔮 A Tour Like No Other

To support the release, Exodus and Ghost will co-headline the Unholy Convergence World Tour in early 2026. The live show promises to merge Exodus’s raw energy with Ghost’s signature theatrics—expect ritualistic stage design, pyrotechnics, and mosh pits in equal measure.

Fans of heavy music, prepare yourselves. Unholy Convergence is more than an album—it’s a dark celebration of two titans defying genre boundaries and reshaping the future of metal.
