Grave Diggers and Morbid Angel Announce Co-Headlining Tour

Two titans of heavy metal are joining forces for one of the most anticipated tours of the year. German metal legends Grave Diggers and American death metal pioneers Morbid Angel have officially announced a co-headlining tour that will thunder across North America and Europe in late 2025. The tour, titled “March of the Damned,” promises to be a relentless celebration of classic and extreme metal, drawing fans from all corners of the genre.

The announcement was made jointly via the bands’ social media pages, sparking excitement and speculation among metalheads worldwide. For the first time in their decades-long careers, Grave Diggers and Morbid Angel will share the stage on a full-length tour, offering a mix of traditional heavy metal anthems and brutal, uncompromising death metal.

Grave Diggers, formed in 1980 and hailing from Gladbeck, Germany, are best known for their galloping riffs, soaring vocals, and epic historical themes. With albums like Tunes of War, The Grave Digger, and Fields of Blood, they’ve built a loyal following across Europe and beyond. Their theatrical live performances, anchored by frontman Chris Boltendahl’s powerful presence, are a cornerstone of their reputation.

Morbid Angel, on the other hand, brings a darker and more aggressive edge. As one of the founding bands of Florida’s death metal scene, their early albums—including Altars of Madness and Blessed Are the Sick—are hailed as genre-defining classics. Known for their technical prowess and occult themes, Morbid Angel’s blistering speed and intensity have set the bar for extreme music for over three decades.

The “March of the Damned” Tour will feature rotating headlining slots, with each band performing full sets from across their discographies. Fans can expect to hear Grave Diggers’ epic anthems like “Rebellion” and “Healed by Metal” alongside Morbid Angel’s ferocious tracks such as “God of Emptiness” and “Immortal Rites.”

Both bands have hinted at special surprises for this tour, including potential collaborations and guest appearances. There’s also talk of exclusive tour merch and limited-edition vinyl pressings to commemorate the event.

The tour is set to begin in October 2025, kicking off in Los Angeles before heading through major U.S. cities and then crossing the Atlantic to storm Germany, the UK, France, and Scandinavia. Tickets will go on sale in July, with VIP packages offering fans a chance to meet the bands and get exclusive access to pre-show events.

With Grave Diggers’ classic power and Morbid Angel’s unholy fury, this tour promises to be a dark celebration of all things heavy. For fans of true metal, “March of the Damned” is not to be missed.
