Following their historic promotion to the Championship, Wrexham’s proprietors have declared their transfer strategies following the disclosure of their summer budget.
The Red Dragons have achieved an unprecedented three successive promotions under Phil Parkinson after a 15-year absence from the Football League. A second-place finish in 2024/25 ensures that they will compete in the second division of English football next term.
The Red Dragons have already exceeded the objective established by proprietors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney when they acquired the club for approximately £2 million in 2021, following the supporters’ approval.
Reynolds and McElhenney have demonstrated their commitment to the institution and its future by investing in it.
Despite the substantial expenditures on player wages, transfer fees, incentives, and Las Vegas parties, the organisation has generated a substantial amount of revenue through lucrative sponsorship agreements, ticket and merchandise sales, and television revenue.
The financial position of the New York-based Allyn family has been further fortified by their reported £475.5 million investment in October, which is expected to result in a significant influx of incomings during the upcoming summer.
