Netflix is set to release a highly anticipated documentary series chronicling the life and legacy of legendary guitarist Peter Frampton. Titled Do You Feel Like I Do?, the series takes its name from Frampton’s iconic 1976 hit and promises an in-depth, emotionally rich exploration of the man behind the music.
Frampton, recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, has been deeply involved in the making of the documentary. The series, which is expected to span multiple episodes—and possibly be released in two parts—will chart his journey from a musically gifted child in South London to international stardom. It also aims to shed light on the personal struggles and triumphs that shaped him.
Filming for the series took place at several meaningful locations from Frampton’s past. These include his childhood home, Abbey Road Studios—where he collaborated with George Harrison on All Things Must Pass—and Bromley Technical School, where he first met David Bowie. Frampton’s father was the head of the art department at the school, adding yet another layer of emotional resonance to the scenes filmed there.
“This documentary has been very cathartic for me,” Frampton shared. “We’ve filmed at places that were deeply personal. I want people to see who I really am—not just the guy on stage, but the person behind the guitar.”
Do You Feel Like I Do? will focus not only on his meteoric rise to fame with the release of Frampton Comes Alive!—still one of the best-selling live albums of all time—but also on the quieter, more reflective chapters of his life. The documentary will candidly address his ongoing battle with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM), a degenerative muscle disease that led him to announce his farewell tour in 2019.
While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, Frampton is hopeful the series will premiere later this year. In the meantime, he’s also working on new music, though he admits to being a perfectionist. “I have a very high quality control threshold,” he said. “I’m my own worst enemy in the studio, but I’m working at it.”
With its combination of rare footage, heartfelt storytelling, and a legendary soundtrack, Do You Feel Like I Do? is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans and newcomers alike—a definitive portrait of one of rock’s most beloved artists.
