The sporting director of 777 Partners, Johannes Spors, has praised manager Sean Dyche and director of football Kevin Thelwell at Everton and highlighted how the team could benefit from a prospective transfer boost.

Despite a 10-point deduction imposed on the club last month, the Blues have gone from posting the lowest equivalent points total in the club’s history last season to on-the-pitch performances that would place them in the top half if it weren’t for the sporting sanction, winning their last three matches without conceding a single goal under Dyche. When asked if he’d met Dyche, Spors said, “Yes, I have.” He’s a genius.

“The entire Finch Farm training ground is fantastic, as are the people I’ve met, and meeting Sean Dyche was fantastic.” I met him in a longer meeting a while back, around the games. It’s not only me, but also Mladen (777’s director of football analytics) and a few others. Sean is doing an excellent job; it’s wonderful.

“After the Chelsea game, he said, ‘This is why I do this job – to help players and see players develop.'” Even when he outlined what he sees in the players and what he believes is attainable a few weeks ago, this is so evident on the field.

“This is exactly what you want. You want the team to punch above their weight in games and get the most out of the opportunities that are currently available to them.”

After watching Everton beat Bournemouth, Newcastle United, and Chelsea, the 41-year-old German has already taken a hands-on approach to the club, which would move to the top of 777’s global football food chain (they also have major stakes in Genoa, Standard Liege, Red Star, Vasco da Gama, and Hertha BSC) if their proposed takeover is approved. Spors stated, “In recent months, I have visited Everton frequently, and I love the stadium, the fans, and the environment.”

“I admire Kevin Thelwell’s leadership and the way he has structured the football organization.” The way he worked with the squad, together with the choice to hire Sean Dyche, I believe is going well.”

777 insists that they treat all of its teams equally, but Spors believes Everton may benefit from their position inside the organization. “Everton will be the missing link in the group and could be the club that gets the players when Liege or Berlin, for example, make them ready,” he said. This is something in which they can truly participate.

“We would not tell Liege or Berlin that they are now feeding Everton.” No way, that would not be proper.
