‘Probably’… Celtic told there are two SPFL strikers that could score 20 goals per season for them

Celtic have been told that there are two strikers in the Scottish Premiership that could score at least 20 goals for them.

With Brendan Rodgers looking to add players to his forward line, these comments from The Athletic’s Jordan Campbell will be music to the Celtic manager’s ears.

However, doubt remains on not only if Rodgers would pay the money for them, but whether or not they are actually good enough to take Celtic forward in Europe.

Campbell said [The Scottish Football Podcast], “He’s obviously come in and be one of the best strikers in the league. And I guess the question would be would Rangers or Celtic look at him?

“I think it would be naïve of Rangers and Celtic not to look at players like Miovski and Shankland, who is getting a little bit older, but would they come in and score 20 goals for them? Probably.”

The debate will rage on in regards to Shankland and Miovski and whilst there is no doubt that they are very good goalscorers, are they any better than what Celtic have at the club just now?

Kyogo Furuhashi is the league’s deadliest striker. There is no denying that. The Japan international has 62 goals to his name over the last two seasons and whilst he is going through a bit of a dry spell at the moment, he will get back to scoring ways.

Hyeongu Oh is starting to show what he is worth to the Celtic team and whilst he still has a way to go before he can be trusted to lead the line, he is starting to show his potential.

If Rogers were to move for either of them, and it seems that Miovski is the more likelier of the two, would the North Macedonian be happy playing second fiddle to Kyogo? It’s unlikely.
