Andre Almeida, a midfielder for Valencia, is apparently under intense scrutiny from Tottenham Hotspur, according to HITC.

Almeida is emerging as a significant player in the Premier League transfer scene. In addition, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers have expressed interest in signing him.

Following his 2022 transfer from Vitoria Guimarães to Valencia, Almeida has demonstrated noteworthy growth. Though he played in just 18 games during a difficult and injury-plagued 2023–24 season, his potential is still greatly appreciated.

Notwithstanding his current injury concerns, Premier League teams are still interested in signing him. Among those expressing a keen interest in Almeida is Tottenham.

Over the past year, the club and Manchester United have been closely monitoring Almeida’s growth. Additionally, Valencia was proactive this summer, contacting Aston Villa and Newcastle United to find out about the midfielder’s availability.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers seem to be the front-runners to sign Almeida right now. According to reports, Gary O’Neil’s group is actively working on putting together a bid for the Portuguese player.

But this might change if Tottenham and other interested parties work harder to sign Almeida before the transfer window shuts.

Tottenham’s midfield transfer activity may have an impact on their choice to pursue Almeida. Should Spurs fail to sign a new midfield player before the transfer window closes, manager Ange Postecoglou may decide to use Archie Gray in that position.

This scenario also implies that Lucas Bergvall is seen by Postecoglou as a possible crucial member of the team.

In addition to giving Tottenham’s midfield more depth, Almeida’s possible transfer would bring in a player with track record in European football.

His effect in the Premier League is well known, and he might give Spurs the steadiness and inventiveness they need to bolster their roster.
