Manchester United will have their worst season in nearly 30 years, according to a football supercomputer. Erik ten Hag’s side has had a difficult start to the season, losing nine of their first 18 games in all competitions.

Back-to-back They are currently sixth in the Premier League after wins against Fulham and Luton, but neither performance was convincing. United has had a difficult few months, and a supercomputer provided by Bettingexpert predicts that things will only get worse.

According to their calculations, the Reds are on track to finish ninth with 58 points. That would be United’s lowest-ever Premier League finish and their worst season since 1989/1990, when Sir Alex Ferguson’s side finished 13th, their second consecutive bottom-half finish.

United’s woes are expected to be exacerbated if their strong rivals Manchester City win a fourth straight Premier League title, which has never happened before. They are predicted to finish four points ahead of Arsenal, with Liverpool and Newcastle rounding out the top four.

Fifth-placed Aston Villa might also qualify for the Champions League under new regulations that allow for an extra spot for English teams. Tottenham and Chelsea have also been tipped to take the final two places above Manchester United.

Despite not playing, Everton’s odds have shifted dramatically after being docked ten points for violating financial restrictions. Sean Dyche’s team had been sitting well earlier, but are currently 19th.

However, they have been predicted to survive, finishing comfortably ahead of the bottom three of Luton Town, Burnley, and Sheffield United.
