After the Vikings’ bye in Week 13, the NFC playoff picture has been updated.

Despite not playing in Week 13, the Minnesota Vikings improved their position in the NFC playoff picture.

After playing 12 consecutive games, the Minnesota Vikings finally received some much-needed rest in Week 13. The Vikings will return to the field in Week 14, but when they do, they will have a higher seed in the NFC playoff picture than when they last played.

It’s getting closer to the conclusion of the season, so if Minnesota wants to preserve their present spot in the NFC playoff bracket, they’ll have to win the bulk of the five games remaining on their schedule in 2023.

Unfortunately, the Vikings’ lead in the NFC North was further eroded during their bye week, as the Detroit Lions won their ninth game of the season on Sunday. Unless something unexpected happens, Minnesota’s greatest chance of making the 2023 playoffs will be as one of the three wild-card clubs.
